Summer Serenade. Cantilena is giving an afternoon of Secular and Christian music.
Tickets and further details will be available in due course. Proceeds from the afternoon will be shared between Julia’s House Children’s Hospice and Church Funds.

Autumn
Many people have asked if we are to arrange another of the very popular Sankey Evenings. Plans for this are in hand, but a date has not yet been set. Please watch this space for an announcement in due course.

If you have been a regular visitor to the Church website, you could be forgiven for thinking that nothing has been happening at the Swanage URC since the induction of Simon. So, let’s put the record straight and say quite clearly that lots of things have happened…

Simon has kept us all so busy that finding time to keep the blog up to date has been difficult. Rather than try to bring you up to date in one go I think it best to talk of the future and try and fill in the past at a later date. Easter is rapidly approaching. The list of services is contained elsewhere on the site.

An ecumenical Maundy Thursday Service is being held at the Methodist Church at 7.30 pm. 

Plans are well advanced for the Good Friday March of Witness. This starts at the Health Centre at 10.30 am where the arrest of Jesus will be enacted. The trial of Jesus will take place at the Mowlem and will then move to the Quay for the Crucifixion.

A Sunrise Service to celebrate the Risen Lord takes place on the beach at 6.15 am, complete with bonfire, bread and fish. This is followed by an Agape Breakfast at the URC and later by Family Worship at 10.30 am.
